The Alleghany Board of Elections will meet the 2nd Friday of every month at 8:30 a.m. at the Board of Commissioners Room located at 348 S. Main St., Lower Level 20, Sparta, NC, 28675 unless otherwise posted.
Voters will be asked to show photo ID when voting in North Carolina.
For most voters, they will simply show their driver’s license. But there are many other acceptable photo IDs.
If a voter does not have an acceptable photo ID, they can get one for free from the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles (NCDMV).
Ballots will be available to registered voters who will be 18 years old on, or before Election Day.
